I'm kinda chuffed. Not so much because I finished a whopping big painting in record time but because I took pics along the way :D Well, this painting still isn't totally finished. I think it still needs a bit of 'de-Bratz-doll-a-fying and the daddy in the background looks like he's young enough to be my son. So a few changes are in order but...well...you get the picture. So to speak. Hey, it's late. I'm knackered. Enough rambling. This lil'mama needs some food and sleep.

...tah-dahhh! The almost finished paitning :) It is called Birth Song as each birthing women makes her own sounds, know as her Birth Song. i just adore that!! The baby's little furry head has been born and mama is moaning and breathing baby out into the birth pool. The words 'Trust Birth' hang in a picture frame behind her for 2 reasons:
1. We, as a society just don't trust birth. We fear it. If left alone, usually birth is safe. As safe as like gets, in fact :)
and
2. I am preparing to give birth to my fifth child in March of 2011. It helps to see the word 'trust' associated with birth images when preparing to give birth. This painting currently hangs above our sofa in the living room. I am sure Granny will love it, tehehe.
